Base Salary
$250k - $338k/yr
Responsibilities
- Direct the design, development, testing, debugging, maintenance, and certification-aligned integration of embedded software.
- Translate customer requirements into software architectures and product designs for embedded devices and systems.
- Consult on embedded software for specialized hardware and software-hardware integration.
- Oversee analysis, monitoring, and improvement of embedded software efficiency and stability.
- Lead embedded software project management functions and advise management on engineering topics.
- Influence software architecture, hardware integration approaches, technologies, tools, frameworks, and regulatory practices.
- Track and evaluate internal and supplier software team performance for compliance with project plans and industry standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of experience leading software development.
- 10+ years of experience leading or supporting trade studies, business case development, work transfers, and/or statement-of-work management.
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance requiring U.S. citizenship, with an interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance required post-start.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer engineering or a similar engineering discipline.
- Preferred: experience with software architecture and design methodologies, flight management systems or civil navigation, DO-178C certification, motion planning, estimation, control, real-time software, MATLAB, Simulink, and C++.
- Ability to lead, communicate, collaborate across organizations, and independently solve team problems using engineering principles.
