Responsibilities
- Build and operate services in a distributed production environment used by millions of customers.
- Collaborate with team members and the wider organization to solve complex distributed computing problems.
- Mentor and guide junior team members in their career development.
- Communicate effectively with executives and peers.
- Identify areas for system improvement and advocate for balancing tech debt with feature development.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in building highly available, scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systems.
- Strong experience with Golang, Java, or similar technologies.
- Demonstrated track record in service ownership.
- Operational excellence mindset with a focus on monitoring and building resilient systems.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
- Strong technical and leadership skills with experience in influencing technical decisions.
- Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
