Base Salary
$207k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Improve services across their full lifecycle, including inception, design, deployment, operation, and refinement.
- Provide system design consulting, develop software platforms and frameworks, perform capacity planning, and support launch reviews.
- Scale systems through automation and drive changes that improve reliability and engineering velocity.
- Partner with Development and SRE leadership to improve the scalability, reliability, efficiency, and security of cluster-local filesystem services.
- Drive technical direction and planning for integrating new services and flows into Colossus SRE support.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Eight years of software development experience in one or more programming languages.
- Three years of experience leading projects.
- Three years of experience designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting distributed systems.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering and experience with technical direction, team-member performance, system architecture, systems data analysis, debugging, and distributed storage.
