Base Salary
$138k - $185k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, troubleshoot, and deliver secure and scalable software solutions on the ServiceNow platform.
- Create production code, algorithms, architecture artifacts, and application designs while ensuring implementation meets design constraints.
- Develop ServiceNow scripting, configurations, custom widgets, Service Portal capabilities, and integration solutions.
- Use enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation tools for coding, testing, troubleshooting, refactoring, and documentation, while validating outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Analyze large and diverse data sets, create visualizations and reports, and use findings to improve application quality, coding hygiene, and system architecture.
- Apply software development lifecycle tools, testing practices, application resiliency, security standards, and operational stability practices.
- Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and improve scrum and team delivery processes.
- Collaborate with Business Analysis to produce estimates and agile delivery plans.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 3 years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience implementing the ServiceNow platform.
- Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages, including relevant JavaScript, GlideScript, or ServiceNow scripting, and database query languages.
- Experience programming in Java, PHP, or Python.
- Knowledge of ServiceNow development best practices, including scripting, configuration, tool navigation, and custom widgets.
- Experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability in a large corporate environment.
- Knowledge of agile delivery, application resiliency, security, and CI/CD practices.
- Technical discipline knowledge such as cloud, AI/ML, or mobile.
- Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and critically evaluating, validating, and refining their outputs.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Ability to guide peers on safe and effective AI-assisted engineering practices.
- Preferred familiarity with modern front-end technologies and cloud technologies.
- Preferred experience implementing Service Portal on ServiceNow.
- Strong understanding of the ServiceNow platform, its PaaS model, and ServiceNow integration solutions.
