Responsibilities
- Own the design and development of application sub-components and scalable, reusable capabilities.
- Develop and support the Loan Portfolio Mitigation Application using Java and microservices technologies.
- Provide technical oversight across the application and remain accountable for Java development activities.
- Mentor and guide a small team of Java developers and help remove technical, architectural, and process roadblocks.
- Collaborate with business analysts, business users, development teams, QA teams, technology professionals, and senior stakeholders.
- Track and communicate delivery progress, support requirements testing, and provide consulting on business, technical, and infrastructure issues.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in Information Technology.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent.
- Proven experience designing and developing enterprise-scale applications.
- Expertise in Java 17+, Spring Boot, Spring JPA, and the OpenShift ecosystem.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server databases and tuning complex SQL queries.
- Working knowledge of caching frameworks, password and secret vaults, Kibana, AutoSys or equivalent scheduling tools, and RESTful APIs.
- Experience with Sonar, Harness, Tekton, Git, JUnit, Selenium, and continuous integration and deployment processes.
- Experience using GenAI development tools such as Copilot, Claude, Devin, and Cursor, including writing effective prompts.
- Working knowledge of Angular or React is a plus.
- Working knowledge of Hadoop, Spark, Spark SQL, Hive, Cloudera, Kafka, or RabbitMQ is a plus.
- Java and Spring certification is a plus.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, stakeholder management, and Agile/Scrum delivery skills, including proficiency with Jira.
