Responsibilities
- Work directly with customers to understand problems and inform engineering decisions.
- Ship full-stack features from discovery through production and own their complete lifecycle.
- Use Claude Code and Cursor as core AI-native development tools.
- Own zero-to-one initiatives such as dunning workflows and customer portal re-engineering.
- Prioritize initiatives, decide what to build or skip, and determine when to stop projects.
- Help shape engineering culture, tooling, and processes and contribute to recruiting.
- Stay current with new tools and methods and help the broader team adopt them.
Requirements
- Demonstrated track record of shipping real, end-to-end products, evaluated by what has been built rather than years on a resume.
- Strong full-stack capabilities and comfort owning systems end to end.
- Fluency or native proficiency in German at C1 level or above.
- Comfort with AI-native development tooling and regular use of it to increase output.
- High ownership, sound judgment, and ability to work effectively in ambiguity at an early-stage company.
- Evidence of technical exceptionality through shipping history, elite competition results, open-source contributions, research, or founding experience.
- Experience in or strong interest in energy retail domains such as billing, procurement, customer retention, or cost optimization is a plus.
Benefits
- Salary range of 80,000 to 120,000 EUR annually.
- Fully on-site in Berlin, Germany, five days per week in the office.
- Remote and hybrid arrangements are not available.
