Responsibilities
- Partner with Account Executives, Solutions Engineers, Professional Services, and partners to plan and execute successful deals.
- Participate in qualification, discovery, demonstrations, proofs of concept, RFP responses, design documentation, technical presentations, and enablement sessions.
- Lead technical discovery sessions to understand customer needs and guide them toward solutions using Twilio Communications products.
- Develop and present complex product demonstrations and presentations for Twilio’s communications products.
- Propose technical architectures and creative solutions for complex communications and customer engagement challenges.
- Build trusted-advisor relationships with customer stakeholders, including senior executives and technical decision makers.
- Develop subject matter expertise and contribute reusable demo assets, presentations, and knowledge to the Solutions Engineer community.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in a technical presales role within CPaaS, SaaS, or telecommunications.
- Solid understanding of the sales cycle and the presales engineer role.
- Experience with VoIP, SIP implementations, or messaging APIs.
- Knowledge of Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, and cloud application architectures.
- Experience writing code in backend or web technologies, including Java, C#, Node.js, Python, PHP, JavaScript, or React.
- Experience designing and consuming REST APIs.
- Strong communication, storytelling, problem-solving, collaboration, and customer discovery abilities.
- Backend development experience, mobile development familiarity with iOS and Android, and experience with telecommunications, SIP, WebRTC, or contact centers are desired.
- Experience with automation, cloud-native development, a major cloud platform, and sales methodologies is desired.
