Responsibilities
- Design and build full-stack features, including responsive web front ends, backend services, and APIs for campaign management, reporting, and marketplace optimization.
- Select appropriate languages and tools while placing complex computation, data modeling, and algorithms in scalable backend services.
- Build and consume APIs that integrate Digital Turbine products into a unified architecture.
- Own services in production, including testing, observability, performance, and on-call responsibilities.
- Collaborate with product leads and stakeholders on scoping, estimation, and technical decisions.
- Mentor teammates and raise engineering standards through code review, automation, and pragmatic architecture.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience building and shipping production platforms, with substantial backend architecture, system design, and code optimization experience.
- Strong algorithmic fundamentals, data structures knowledge, and experience solving complex data-processing or resource-optimization problems.
- Proficiency in more than one language or ecosystem, such as TypeScript/JavaScript, Java, Kotlin, Python, Go, Scala, or C++.
- Experience with modern front-end frameworks such as React, backend service design, and relational or distributed data stores such as MySQL and PostgreSQL.
- Strong fundamentals in API design, data modeling, testing, and system design.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, ownership-driven environment with limited hand-holding.
- Experience with AWS or GCP, containers, and CI/CD is preferred.
- Exposure to AdTech, dashboards or BI surfaces, high-throughput data-driven products, or integrating ML and data services into product workflows is preferred.
