Base Salary
$111k - $180k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own and maintain a specific technical domain, such as MCP server infrastructure or the AI prototyping repository.
- Architect and maintain internal MCP servers integrating Jira, Splunk, Datadog, and other systems.
- Deploy cloud-hosted autonomous agents within FedRAMP boundaries.
- Deliver sustainable, reusable, and optimized software solutions independently through defined milestones.
- Evaluate emerging AI development tools for compatibility with Workiva’s architecture and security standards.
- Document AI engineering best practices and create playbooks for reducing bug fixes, CVEs, and migration effort.
- Consult with product teams on integrating AI agents and resolving technical blockers.
- Implement and monitor metrics measuring AI’s impact on team velocity and code quality.
- Mentor engineers on AI-augmented development techniques and promote successful use cases across engineering.
Requirements
- 4+ years of related software development experience.
- Strong proficiency with backend services, proxy servers, and API integrations.
- Experience with Python, Go, or TypeScript preferred.
- Extensive experience using AI-augmented IDEs such as Cursor or Claude Code.
- Ability to translate complex technical implementations into clear, actionable documentation.

- US base salary range of $111,000.00-$180,000.00.
