Base Salary
$79k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Implement and optimize scalable distributed-system components for high-volume data retrieval, storage, and processing.
- Design fault-tolerant systems using redundancy, replication, automatic failover, retries, circuit breakers, and timeouts.
- Develop performance, load, fault-injection, and brown-out tests to validate scalability, correctness, and availability.
- Create alarms, dashboards, telemetry, alerting, runbooks, and operational procedures to monitor and recover systems.
- Diagnose and resolve operational issues, participate in support rotations and incident response, and conduct root-cause investigations.
- Build automation scripts, troubleshooting tools, and Infrastructure as Code for cloud infrastructure maintenance.
- Apply encryption, access controls, security remediation, compliance practices, and change-management procedures.
Requirements
- Experience level is identified as Oracle Career Level IC3.
- Ability to design and implement distributed systems with scalability, resiliency, operability, replication, and synchronization requirements.
- Ability to perform performance and load testing and troubleshoot standard and non-standard system issues.
- Ability to create operational automation, dashboards, telemetry, alarms, runbooks, and incident-response procedures.
- Ability to apply security controls, remediation plans, cloud compliance requirements, and change-management practices.
- Ability to collaborate across teams, prioritize work, and execute with limited supervision.
