Responsibilities
- Drive modernization from legacy Objective-C to Swift, SwiftUI, and Combine.
- Build and modernize iOS product features while refactoring legacy code and reducing technical debt.
- Contribute to architecture decisions, including the transition from VIPER to MVVM-C.
- Collaborate with Android, Web, Product, and Design to ship product solutions.
- Ship releases to the App Store and monitor post-release behavior.
- Improve iOS tooling, testing practices, CI/CD, and overall platform health.
- Write unit tests, handle edge cases, conduct code reviews, and work effectively with AI coding tools.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience building iOS apps.
- Proficiency in Swift, SwiftUI, and Combine.
- Experience maintaining and modernizing legacy Objective-C code.
- Strong understanding of MVVM-C, VIPER, and other iOS architecture patterns.
- Experience shipping production iOS apps to the App Store, including post-release monitoring.
- Experience with REST and/or GraphQL, error handling, and asynchronous patterns.
- Ability to work independently, communicate effectively, collaborate, and ship without constant oversight.
- Preferred: experience with large, mature products; mobile CI/CD, testing, or DevOps; and audio or telecommunications.
