Responsibilities
- Work with studio Technical Directors, leads, and senior engineers to understand development workflows across teams.
- Identify recurring patterns, workflow friction, technical risks, and opportunities to simplify or converge pipelines, tooling, and practices.
- Scope technical initiatives, define success criteria, coordinate focused missions, and maintain momentum through follow-up.
- Contribute to shared pipelines, reference workflows, tools, engine integrations, and lightweight development practices.
- Monitor adoption, outcomes, feedback, and risk trends, adjusting approaches based on real usage.
- Help teams experiment with and adopt AI-assisted development tools safely and incrementally.
- Shape AI tooling usage guidelines and guardrails with engineering teams.
- Communicate recurring technical themes, risks, learnings, and initiative progress across studios.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in game or software engineering.
- Experience shipping game titles or production tooling.
- Experience across multiple engines, technology stacks, and build or CI/CD pipelines, with depth in build/release, engine integration, or developer experience tooling.
- Demonstrated ability to drive cross-team change through influence without direct authority.
- Experience scoping initiatives, defining success criteria, coordinating focused missions, and following through.
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools for code review, refactoring, testing, or migrations.
- Excellent English communication skills with credibility among engineers and leadership.
- Pragmatic, risk-aware judgment regarding technical convergence and AI-assisted tooling.
- Comfort working in a distributed, multi-studio, multi-timezone organization.
- DevEx or build-release experience is a nice-to-have.
