Base Salary
$176k - $209k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the architectural roadmap and delivery of agentic infrastructure, orchestration layers, memory architectures, and evaluation and observability systems.
- Design and deploy scalable multimodal AI agents for autonomous support, real-time voice reasoning, and secure API tool execution across enterprise workflows.
- Serve as a technical anchor by mentoring senior peers, raising engineering standards, and defining an AI-native software development lifecycle.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Applied Research, Design, and executive leadership to align technical execution with business strategy.
- Research and implement agent frameworks, LLM inference optimization, advanced retrieval systems, and safety and policy guardrails.
- Build and scale a multi-agent orchestration framework for real-time conversational reasoning and tool execution over large enterprise datasets.
Requirements
- 10+ years of relevant software engineering experience with a track record of technical leadership as a Staff, Senior Staff, or Principal Engineer.
- Strong foundations in distributed systems and production-grade infrastructure, along with experience in applied AI, LLM platforms, and agentic architectures.
- Experience with LLM inference optimization and fine-tuning strategies.
- Experience building advanced retrieval systems and memory architectures.
- Hands-on experience with agent frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, or AWS and Google agent ecosystems.
- Experience with evaluation, observability, and safety frameworks for production AI systems.
- Experience with streaming infrastructure and voice or conversational AI.
- Experience with tool use, API execution frameworks, and human-in-the-loop validation systems.
- Ability to lead and grow a small group of engineers and establish technical goals and standards.
- Ability to identify architectural risks, address technical debt, and build cutting-edge AI products from the ground up.
