Responsibilities
- Design and implement cross-platform mobile features for Android and iOS using modern C++.
- Build features for the Chromium-based mobile browser kernel and the OpenGL ES-based mobile game engine.
- Develop and optimize on-device AI components, including LLM, agent, inference, latency, memory, CPU/GPU, and power-efficiency capabilities.
- Collaborate on features across Android, iOS, and shared C++ infrastructure.
- Integrate third-party data sources, AI services, SDKs, and APIs.
- Write and execute unit tests, troubleshoot issues, fix bugs, and improve performance, stability, responsiveness, and user experience.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software development experience with significant mobile or cross-platform development experience.
- Strong C++ experience, including C++14 and later.
- Experience with cross-platform Android and iOS development, Android internals including SurfaceFlinger and the graphics/rendering pipeline, and iOS system architecture and native development concepts.
- Strong understanding of Linux memory management, POSIX APIs, computer networks, and cross-platform C++ applications.
- Understanding of OpenGL/OpenGL ES, mobile graphics rendering, ARM architecture, and assembly; ARM and assembly are preferred knowledge areas.
- Understanding of Transformer architecture, attention mechanisms, LLMs, AI agents, agentic workflows, and common AI application architectures.
- Experience or familiarity with on-device and edge AI, model deployment, inference, quantization, and mobile performance optimization.
- Understanding of trade-offs among model size, inference latency, memory, power consumption, and accuracy on resource-constrained devices.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
- Preferred qualifications include shared C++ infrastructure, AI model deployment or inference optimization, quantization, pruning, KV cache optimization, AI inference runtimes, LLM or agent integration, multimodal or speech AI, open-source mobile libraries, and Android/iOS performance analysis.
