Base Salary
$190k - $211k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and grow the Cadence developer community through technical content, talks, workshops, events, meetups, and conferences.
- Help developers understand, adopt, and successfully use Cadence in production.
- Create hands-on examples, demos, tutorials, and other technical resources for Cadence users.
- Engage with the open-source community through GitHub, Slack, and other channels.
- Work with Cadence engineers and users to identify gaps, gather feedback, and improve the developer experience.
- Represent Cadence at technical conferences and community events.
- Help shape Cadence's developer advocacy strategy and roadmap.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering, developer relations, developer advocacy, or a related technical role.
- Strong software development experience with proficiency in Go or another backend programming language.
- Experience building and explaining distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, or developer platforms.
- Experience creating technical content, demos, tutorials, or presentations for developers.
- Strong written, verbal, and technical communication skills.
- Ability to engage effectively with open-source communities and software developers.
- Knowledge of setting up and debugging distributed systems on AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Knowledge of technologies including Cassandra, MySQL, Elasticsearch, Kafka, Kubernetes, React, Go, Java, and JavaScript.
- Experience building libraries and SDKs and understanding distributed systems fundamentals.
- Preferred experience with Cadence, Temporal, SWF, or Durable Functions.
- Preferred familiarity with metrics collection systems such as Prometheus and experience with Thrift, gRPC, or protobuf.
- Preferred coding skills with a high bar for quality and scalability.
Benefits
- For San Francisco and Seattle-based roles, the base salary range is USD $190,000-$211,000 per year.
- Eligible US employees may participate in Uber's bonus program and may be offered equity and other compensation.
- Full-time employees are eligible to participate in a 401(k) plan and receive various benefits.
