Base Salary
$107k - $203k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and develop commercial C++ software features for cardiac sensors used in electrophysiological procedures.
- Research and implement detection, tracking, and 3D surface-reconstruction algorithms.
- Process and analyze sensor measurements using mathematical and computational methods.
- Develop complex object-oriented software applications and use software debugging tools.
- Collaborate with advanced concept development teams and end users to ensure clinical applicability.
- Communicate technical information and present technical approaches and findings.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, EE/CSE, or a related field plus 8 years of related experience; or a master’s degree plus 6 years of experience; or a PhD plus 2–3 years of experience.
- Proficiency in C/C++ programming, including C++11 or later.
- Experience with tracking algorithms such as Kalman filters or nonlinear least squares.
- Experience processing and analyzing sensor measurements and applying computational geometry.
- Interest in or experience with GUI and UI/UX design.
- Experience with software debugging tools such as gdb, valgrind, or gprof.
- Experience developing software in an Agile environment.
- Familiarity with a scripting language such as Matlab or Python.
- Preferred: experience with Qt, OpenGL, DirectX11, VTK, Paraview, Visit, or other scientific visualization technologies.
- Preferred: experience with C++ mathematics or geometry libraries such as Eigen, CGAL, or Boost Geometry.
- Preferred: experience with C++ templates and template libraries, Linux, bioelectric impedance sensors, simulations, applied mathematics, physics, numerical optimization, numerical analysis, probability, or statistics.
