Base Salary

$104k - $148k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Lead production support by triaging, investigating, and resolving issues through code or configuration fixes and deployment coordination.
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain back-end software applications supporting financial market infrastructure.
  • Partner with product managers and global cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable and reliable software.
  • Conduct code reviews, participate in technical design discussions, and uphold engineering quality standards.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members.
  • Work Wednesday through Sunday from 12 noon to 8 PM EST.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8+ years of experience as a back-end software engineer.
  • Strong proficiency in Java.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, particularly Amazon Web Services.
  • Knowledge of SQL, Spring, and Spring Boot.
  • Experience developing RESTful APIs and troubleshooting production issues.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to deliver reliable software in a dynamic environment.
  • Preferred: experience with data lake and data warehousing concepts, big data tools and technologies, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.

Benefits

  • Hybrid work environment in Toronto with at least three days per week in the office, subject to change.
  • Base pay range of $104,000–$148,000, plus annual bonus or commission, equity, comprehensive benefits, and growth opportunities.
