Base Salary
$140k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop large-scale software applications using Java and Kotlin.
- Build and maintain platform customization and asset-management capabilities, including knowledge bases, checklists, custom fields, apps, services, software license tracking, asset discovery, and unmanaged-device visibility.
- Commit code and ship products that operate at scale across millions of endpoints.
- Implement design patterns and solve enterprise-level software challenges.
- Maintain high-quality engineering standards and support quality-focused development practices.
- Work with scalable, event-driven architectures, client-server systems, APIs, relational databases, caching, telemetry, and observability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
- 10+ years of Java software development experience for product applications or equivalent.
- 4+ years of experience working with highly scalable software systems.
- Experience scaling systems with event-driven architectures using tools such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Working knowledge of object-oriented design principles.
- Knowledge of API best practices and REST service development using frameworks such as Jersey or Spring.
- Experience with relational database design and development.
- Experience creating both client-side and server-side development for responsive messaging.
- Expertise with caching systems; Redis experience is a preferred differentiator.
- Expert knowledge of quality testing practices.
- Experience treating telemetry and observability as core acceptance criteria.
- Solid Kotlin expertise is preferred.
