Responsibilities
- Lead major software engineering projects and complex assignments with broad scope and long-term business implications.
- Research alternative technical solutions and develop innovative software solutions for business needs.
- Guide daily software development activities, including programming, service-level adherence, and coding best practices.
- Create proof-of-concept applications and maintain technology roadmaps.
- Collaborate with scrum masters, project managers, business partners, technical partners, and internal and external resources.
- Evaluate third-party vendors and products and ensure adherence to software development and quality-control practices.
- Communicate effectively with management, business owners, and stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Advanced knowledge of software engineering concepts and methodologies, including design principles, patterns, algorithms, data structures, and multithreading.
- Strong object-oriented programming, coding, debugging, and Java stack knowledge.
- Experience with Subversion or Git, ExtJS, Java, Spring, Hibernate, SQL, Oracle, SOAP, REST, XML, XSL, and JUnit.
- Experience writing efficient SQL queries and stored procedures with relational databases.
- Experience across all phases of the software development life cycle and in building relationships with business clients.
- Ability to understand software architecture and deployment topology and work with geographically distributed teams.
- Strong communication, collaboration, relationship-building, organizational, problem-solving, and self-management skills.
- Ability to learn and implement new technologies while supporting multiple concurrent activities.
- Experience with Agile methodologies; SAFe Agile experience is a plus.
- JUnit mocking experience is required or expected, with JTest or Mockito experience preferred.
