Responsibilities
- Design, develop, optimize, and maintain advanced backend software solutions.
- Develop and maintain robust APIs, microservices, and system integrations.
- Lead code reviews and enforce quality, consistency, architecture, and best-practice standards.
- Define and optimize software development lifecycle processes and document architectures, procedures, and operational tools.
- Implement and manage containerized applications and automate operational, deployment, and infrastructure tasks.
- Manage and operate critical production systems and services while ensuring availability, performance, scalability, and configuration consistency.
- Diagnose and resolve performance and scalability issues in collaboration with SRE teams.
- Gather and document functional and non-functional requirements in Jira stories.
- Apply secure development practices, data architecture guidelines, and version-control, branching, and merging strategies.
- Collaborate with technical and business teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Mentor team members, facilitate knowledge transfer, provide estimates, and support team and project delivery.
- Serve as a Spin Culture Ambassador and promote an autonomous, inclusive, and collaborative work culture.
Requirements
- Minimum 4–5 years of experience as a Software Engineer.
- At least 4 years of professional Java development experience, including Java, Spring Boot, and Hibernate, or at least 4 years of professional .NET, .NET Core, and C# development experience.
- Experience with JUnit and Mockito for Java, or NUnit or MSTest for .NET.
- Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, including MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and MySQL.
- Experience with Maven, Gradle, GitHub Actions, SonarCloud, Git, and CI/CD tools.
- Deep understanding of design patterns, software architecture, and SOLID principles.
- Experience with TDD, ATDD, BDD, secure development, SAST, and DAST tools.
- Experience creating microservices, consuming REST services and RESTful APIs, and applying an API First approach.
- Demonstrable experience developing with containers.
- Experience with CloudFormation and Terraform for infrastructure as code is desirable, as is AWS experience.
- Ability to lead teams and projects, meet deadlines, maintain high-quality standards, and collaborate effectively.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, adaptability, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Willingness to learn new technologies in the Digital@FEMSA and Spin technology stacks.
