Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship while fostering engineering excellence and ownership.
- Develop core services and critical components of the real-time Fraud Monitoring Platform.
- Partner with the platform architect to define and implement scalable, resilient, and secure solutions.
- Collaborate with engineering heads, project management, and related platform leaders to build, integrate, and deliver software.
- Improve code quality, automated testing, delivery pipelines, and post-release operational activities across the software development lifecycle.
- Serve as the primary technical expert in strategy meetings, stakeholder discussions, and future product development.
- Partner with SRE and L3 support teams to improve system reliability and reduce operational toil.
- Apply AI-assisted engineering techniques across software development, testing, operational support, or developer productivity.
Requirements
- 15+ years of overall software engineering experience with a track record of leading complex, business-critical systems.
- Hands-on experience designing, building, and deploying complex scalable applications on a major public cloud platform, with GCP strongly preferred.
- Expert-level proficiency in modern Java, including Java 17+, and Spring Boot.
- Experience with microservices architecture, Kubernetes, Docker, cloud-native applications, event-driven architecture, and messaging systems such as Kafka or MQ.
- Expertise with relational databases including Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL, and in-memory data stores or caches such as Redis.
- Knowledge of Git, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps/SRE principles.
- Experience with high-load and high-traffic systems, performance testing and tuning, and zero-downtime releases.
- Understanding of API security, including mTLS and OAuth2, data protection, and secure coding practices.
- Familiarity with AI/ML, generative AI, and agentic AI patterns, including safe integration of models, LLMs, or AI agents into enterprise real-time decisioning platforms.
- Ability to use AI tools to improve productivity and workflows while applying responsible and ethical judgment to data and AI outputs.
