Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a cross-functional engineering team to build subscription conversion experiences.
- Design and develop scalable backend services and APIs using Java, gRPC, and GCP.
- Support new products, plans, and global launches across the Subscriptions mission.
- Build resilient backend systems for millions of users on web and mobile.
- Work with product managers and engineers to deliver technical solutions for customer and business problems.
- Lead technical initiatives and mentor teammates to improve engineering quality.
- Champion engineering best practices and operational excellence.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building backend systems at scale.
- Proficiency in Java, gRPC, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Experience designing APIs and backend services for multiple client platforms.
- Commitment to writing maintainable, high-quality, production-ready software.
- Experience working with internal stakeholders to build reusable platforms and services.
- Experience with subscription, conversion, commerce, or merchandising systems is a plus.
