Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable, resilient microservices powering JioStar’s advertising technology stack.
- Own complex backend projects end to end, from technical design through deployment and monitoring.
- Write maintainable code and ensure rigorous testing and fault tolerance.
- Drive architectural decisions and influence the team’s long-term engineering strategy.
- Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Perform performance tuning, incident response, root-cause analysis, and other operational-excellence activities.
- Mentor junior engineers, conduct technical deep dives and code reviews, and promote knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Java, Golang, or Python.
- Experience designing and building distributed systems at scale.
- Strong understanding of storage systems, query performance, and caching strategies.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS, messaging systems such as Kafka, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to work autonomously, prioritize tasks, and manage delivery timelines in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion for developing engineers and leading by example.
- Curiosity about advertising systems and optimizing them for user and business outcomes.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field with 4–7 years of backend development experience.
