Responsibilities
- Enhance a platform for entity management, governance, cross-references, relationships, and business-context discovery.
- Design and improve NER and entity-extraction pipelines using LLMs, NLP models, gazetteers, pattern matching, and blacklist-based approaches.
- Extend extraction capabilities to streaming and real-time content sources.
- Improve search through entity resolution, personalized search, metadata filtering, and relationship-driven exploration.
- Design and maintain graph-based relationship models for traversal, visualization, and business-context mapping.
- Implement entity-level security, access controls, and restricted-data filtering across retrieval and search workflows.
- Integrate data sources and downstream business applications.
- Translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions and AI-powered workflows.
- Use and critically validate AI-assisted development tools and generated outputs.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, mentor team members, and contribute to onboarding and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- 7+ years of software engineering experience, including designing and operating production data-intensive platforms.
- Strong expertise with Elasticsearch and/or OpenSearch, information retrieval, and entity resolution.
- Hands-on experience with graph databases and knowledge graphs, including Neo4j and Cypher.
- Experience with applied NLP and NER using Gemma, Llama, GLiNER, spaCy, and LLM-based extraction techniques.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, and observability tools such as Datadog.
- Experience ingesting, synchronizing, and managing data from multiple source systems.
- Advanced architecture, data modeling, systems-thinking, and complex business-domain modeling capabilities.
- Practical experience with GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude, ChatGPT, and agentic workflows.
- Experience implementing permission-aware data access and security controls.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and advanced English proficiency.
- Preferred experience includes Oil & Gas, Energy, Utilities, Mining, enterprise data governance, master data management, enterprise search, knowledge management, graph visualization, relationship analytics, and AI-powered search and retrieval.
