Responsibilities
- Build reusable platform components and frameworks using Python and Apache Spark.
- Develop and maintain production-grade data processing applications on Databricks.
- Create standardized capabilities for data ingestion, processing, observability, and governance.
- Build APIs, libraries, and automation that improve engineering productivity.
- Develop reliable data solutions using PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Delta Lake.
- Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Write clean, maintainable, well-tested production code.
- Troubleshoot production issues through resolution and collaborate with engineers across teams.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong programming skills in Python and hands-on Apache Spark/PySpark experience.
- Experience building applications on AWS and Databricks.
- Understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, SOLID principles, data structures and algorithms, clean code practices, and unit testing.
- Experience with NoSQL and relational databases, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of scalable and reliable software development practices, along with strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Preferred qualifications include data platform or internal platform experience, Delta Lake and lakehouse architecture experience, exposure to generative AI applications, RAG solutions, agentic AI workflows, Docker, or Kubernetes.
