Base Salary
$60k - $117k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise applications using Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.
- Develop and support Apache Kafka producer and consumer applications, including message processing, error handling, monitoring, and performance tuning.
- Design and optimize database solutions using Hibernate/JPA and advanced SQL, including data modeling, indexing, query optimization, and performance tuning.
- Diagnose production issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes.
- Build, deploy, and manage applications on Azure, AWS, and/or Google Cloud Platform.
- Deploy and support containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Use GitHub Copilot and other generative AI tools for coding, debugging, testing, code reviews, and engineering productivity.
- Collaborate with architects, product owners, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to deliver projects and resolve complex technical issues.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with Java 11/17/21, J2EE, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.
- Proven experience designing and developing large-scale, high-performance microservices architectures.
- Hands-on expertise with Apache Kafka for event-driven architectures, messaging, asynchronous processing, and distributed system integration.
- Strong knowledge of Hibernate/JPA, advanced SQL, database design, query optimization, performance tuning, and data modeling.
- Practical experience with Microsoft Azure, AWS, and/or Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience deploying and managing containerized applications with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience troubleshooting CI/CD pipeline build failures, test errors, and deployment issues.
- Hands-on experience with generative AI tools such as GitHub Copilot for coding, debugging, code reviews, testing, and productivity improvements.
- Strong coding, debugging, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
