Responsibilities
- Develop end-to-end solutions from design and architecture through production monitoring, creating reusable and scalable code while balancing business trade-offs.
- Review architecture, propose engineering standards, and influence technical decisions affecting the team and adjacent squads.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, design, and domain specialists to translate complex problems into sustainable solutions.
- Monitor and validate performance, identify bottlenecks, implement continuous deployment strategies, and document improvements.
- Configure and evolve code-quality, testing, and observability tools to maintain consistent engineering standards.
- Act as a technical reference for the team by supporting peers in code reviews and technical discussions.
Requirements
- Solid experience developing web frontends with React and Next.js, including performance, accessibility, and maintainability practices at scale.
- Solid backend web development experience focused on services, APIs, asynchronous solutions, and event-driven architectures.
- Generalist experience across the full software development lifecycle.
- Experience with frontend unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases, including data modeling and query optimization.
- Practical knowledge of messaging systems such as RabbitMQ, Kafka, Pub/Sub, SQS, or equivalent technologies.
- Familiarity with cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, including containers and orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Ability to program effectively in at least one of Node.js, Go, Java, Scala, or Python, with willingness to learn additional languages.
- Knowledge of GraphQL, BFF, or Elasticsearch is a differentiator.
- Experience with multiple languages at large scale and involvement in technology communities or open-source projects are differentiators.
