Base Salary
$144k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable distributed systems for large-scale data processing.
- Translate complex requirements into clear architecture and well-structured code.
- Develop features for data catalog, data discovery, and data transformation products.
- Work across design, coding, code review, testing, deployment, and operational support.
- Partner with internal customers, engineers, scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to deliver effective data solutions.
- Troubleshoot operational issues, identify root causes, and implement permanent fixes.
- Mentor engineers through code reviews, design discussions, and knowledge sharing.
- Evaluate emerging data-processing and AI technologies and recommend adoption where appropriate.
Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience involving design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
- 1+ years of experience designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
- 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience.
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: 3+ years covering the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
