Responsibilities
- Own the architecture, quality, and delivery of React Native mobile applications and React JS web surfaces across iOS and Android.
- Define coding standards, technical patterns, best practices, and roadmap decisions across mobile and full-stack engineering.
- Lead end-to-end delivery of mobile and web features from technical scoping through App Store and Google Play release and production monitoring.
- Develop and integrate native mobile, webview, BFF, backend API, and LLM-based solutions.
- Lead code reviews, root cause analysis, technical risk mitigation, and production support.
- Maintain CI/CD pipelines and release management processes for mobile and web platforms.
- Lead and mentor geographically distributed employees and contractors across the Americas and India.
- Participate in hiring, including resume reviews, technical interviews, and candidate evaluations.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, QA, Backend, and business teams to deliver software solutions.
- Promote automated testing, alerting, accessibility, security, performance, and software engineering best practices.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of software development experience, including at least five years focused on mobile and full-stack development.
- Deep expertise in React Native, React JS, TypeScript or JavaScript, and Node.js.
- Strong understanding of native iOS development with Swift or Objective-C and Android development with Kotlin or Java.
- Proven full-stack capability across BFF or API layers and mobile UI development.
- Experience with cross-browser and cross-platform development, responsive UI, state management, REST APIs, GraphQL, and mobile data-fetching patterns.
- A track record of shipping production applications to the App Store and Google Play.
- Experience architecting high-transaction, high-throughput systems.
- Experience leading distributed, contractor-heavy teams across time zones and mentoring engineers.
- Experience with AI-first engineering and tools such as Claude and Copilot.
- Experience with CI/CD, Agile methodologies, and open-source technologies.
- Preferred experience includes LLM or AI-native development, AI-powered consumer products, webview integration, leading teams of five or more, micro-frontend or monorepo architectures, mobile accessibility, Expo or Expo EAS, and fintech or regulated industries.
