Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of scalable, high-performance features for new and existing products.
  • Collaborate with architects and LiquidityBook teams to develop cohesive designs and products.
  • Define and promote engineering strategy, standards, and best practices across the organization.
  • Mentor engineers and support their technical growth.
  • Drive modernization initiatives involving performance, reliability, maintainability, refactoring, and technology upgrades.
  • Participate in code reviews, technical design sessions, and problem resolution.
  • Drive automated testing practices.
  • Contribute hands-on code and detailed technical solutions.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of software engineering experience with strong emphasis on backend and frontend development.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or relevant work experience.
  • Experience architecting and delivering large-scale distributed systems.
  • A track record of setting technical direction and mentoring engineering teams.
  • Outstanding problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Preferred experience developing financial trading applications, especially OMS, EMS, or similar systems.
  • Preferred experience as a full-stack developer with Java.
  • Familiarity with high-performance or low-latency architectures is preferred.
  • Knowledge of trading workflows or FIX protocol is preferred.
  • Preferred experience leading system modernization and technology evolution in enterprise environments.
