Responsibilities
- Lead a small team through design, development, testing, and customer support while mentoring engineers.
- Own the end-to-end design and implementation of complete feature sets for on-premises and cloud platforms.
- Refine the engineering backlog, manage scope and risks, and communicate delivery timelines and commitments.
- Perform root-cause analysis for product defects and performance issues and implement validated fixes.
- Collaborate with QA, support, field teams, product managers, architects, designers, and customers to resolve complex issues.
- Lead development and testing of patches and hotfixes and build diagnostic tools that improve support efficiency and time to resolution.
Requirements
- Strong coding experience in C, C++, or Golang.
- 14+ years of experience developing and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems in Go, C, or C++ on Linux and Windows.
- Strong coding, analytical, debugging, and troubleshooting skills, including GDB and Python Debugger.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
- Experience with JIRA, GitHub, Python testing frameworks, virtualization technologies such as KVM, VMware, or OpenStack, and SaaS architecture.
- Knowledge of microservices, testing methodologies, agile/scrum methodologies, and preferably the data management domain.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, design articulation, data-driven decision-making, and stakeholder-influence skills.
