Responsibilities
- Drive enterprise sales by nurturing prospects and supporting strategic and enterprise customers
- Conduct discovery, qualification, technical demonstrations, and proof-of-value workshops
- Answer Postman technical questions and objections and provide solutions or workarounds
- Understand customer workflows and guide adoption of API-first development practices
- Share customer feedback with internal teams and advocate for customers
- Monitor the competitive landscape, API-market trends, and customer challenges
- Create proof-of-concept integrations, tooling, and workflows for prospective customers
- Maintain customer sandbox environments and product best practices
- Act as a technical intermediary between sales and internal teams to address customer needs
Requirements
- 10+ years of enterprise sales or solutions engineering experience
- 6+ years of software development experience
- 6+ years of experience with APIs and data platforms
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related field, or relevant work experience
- Customer-facing experience engaging developers, QA, product teams, engineering leaders, senior management, and executives
- Strong understanding of APIs and experience producing and consuming APIs across different domains
- Understanding of modern development methodologies, DevOps, and the software development life cycle
- Experience with enterprise SaaS sales processes and common cloud-service security concerns
- Experience executing enterprise sales strategies and sales methodologies such as MEDDIC, Challenger Sale, and Command of the Message
- Familiarity with developer tooling, Git, monitoring services, containers, and cloud computing services
- Comfort with JavaScript and expert-level Postman usage
- Excellent presentation, verbal, written, listening, relationship-building, and communication skills
