Base Salary

$170k - $245k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and operate the shift-left security toolchain across CI/CD pipelines.
  • Define triage processes for security findings and partner with engineering teams.
  • Establish and enforce policy-as-code and pre-merge security gates.
  • Design and deploy production cloud security architecture, focusing on GCP.
  • Implement foundational controls like network segmentation and IAM.
  • Operate cloud security posture management and workload protection capabilities.
  • Build and maintain secure-by-default infrastructure modules in Terraform.
  • Operate and fine-tune the SIEM and security telemetry pipeline.
  • Enhance and lead technical security incident response capabilities.
  • Manage the end-to-end vulnerability management lifecycle.
  • Partner with engineering to translate framework requirements into robust controls.
  • Mentor junior engineers on secure coding and cloud security best practices.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in security engineering or DevSecOps roles.
  • Hands-on experience securing modern CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong cloud security expertise, particularly in Google Cloud Platform.
  • Expert-level Terraform skills for building secure IaC modules.
  • Experience operating a SIEM end-to-end.
  • Hands-on incident response leadership experience.
  • Practical experience in SOC 2, HIPAA, and ISO 27001 environments.
  • Strong programming or scripting skills in Python, Go, or similar.
  • Excellent partnership skills with a developer-empathetic mindset.
  • Strong affinity for working with LLMs and AI agents.
  • US Citizen and eligible for US security clearance.
