Responsibilities
- Talk with users and identify product insights and customer problems.
- Design, implement, review, debug, and ship production software for new customer workflows.
- Build AI agents that pursue recruiting objectives, request judgment appropriately, and recover safely from model or tool failures.
- Build interfaces, APIs, data models, permissions, and production behavior for customer workflows.
- Own a bounded customer outcome from problem definition through rollout and iteration within the first 3 to 6 months.
- Use customer behavior to refine product direction and subsequent releases.
- Own production behavior, reliability, adoption, recovery, and post-launch revisions.
- At staff+ scope, set direction for a broader area, make difficult architectural tradeoffs, and raise decision quality around the team.
Requirements
- Personally shipped software for external users and owned a meaningful outcome from problem definition through production.
- Depth in at least one technical area and ability to work across product, frontend, and backend boundaries.
- Heavy use of AI coding agents while retaining the ability to design, implement, review, and debug independently.
- Interest in direct customer contact, hands-on implementation, and post-launch ownership.
- Ability to turn ambiguous customer problems into useful initial products.
- Willingness to own reliability, adoption, and revision work after launch.
- Exact experience with React, TypeScript, Python, AWS, Postgres, and S3 is not required.
