Base Salary

$255k - $278k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement robust, efficient, production-ready algorithms for robotic grasping and manipulation.
  • Own the end-to-end lifecycle of robotics solutions from foundational research through global deployment.
  • Define architecture and long-term strategy for robots interacting with the physical world.
  • Identify and apply advances in robotics to practical industrial problems.
  • Translate partner requirements into reliable technical outcomes.
  • Integrate and validate high-availability software in complex industrial manufacturing applications.
  • Mentor junior engineers, contribute to the strategic roadmap, and drive evolution of the robotic software stack.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Robotics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in robotic manipulation.
  • 2 years leading substantial, ambiguous technical projects from inception to deployment.
  • Strong knowledge of linear algebra, spatial transformations, and rigid body dynamics.
  • 6 years of professional experience programming robotics software in C++ and Python, with a record of shipping production-quality code.
  • Experience with machine learning in an applied robotics context.
  • Preferred: PhD in Robotics and Machine Learning, Reinforcement Learning, or a related field focused on robotic manipulation.
  • Preferred: Deep expertise with JAX, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
  • Preferred: Experience developing the full robotics stack, including kinematics, motion generation, system integration, and testing.
