Base Salary
$83k - $155k/yr
Responsibilities
- Audit software development processes for compliance with policies, procedures, work instructions, and program plans.
- Develop, maintain, and apply software quality evaluation plans.
- Collaborate with program, engineering, and software teams on quality planning and objectives.
- Participate in contractual reviews, audits, IPT meetings, and configuration control board meetings.
- Witness software qualification and system acceptance tests and track requirements, procedures, and anomalies to closure.
- Support CMMI and AS9100 audits, identify nonconformances, and verify corrective actions.
- Evaluate software suppliers' capabilities and capacity to deliver quality software.
- Collect and report software metrics and provide limited development support for internal quality tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or another STEM-related field with two years of relevant experience, or a master's degree with two years of relevant software development and integration experience for the Software Quality Engineer level.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant STEM field with five years of relevant experience, or a master's degree with five years of relevant software development and integration experience for the Principal level.
- Knowledge of C, C++, Java, Python, software development processes, software metrics, and process and product evaluation.
- Principal candidates must have experience with process monitoring, data collection, analysis, and metric reporting.
- Must hold a Top Secret clearance and be able to obtain program access.
- Preferred qualifications include software engineering experience, work-plan and manufacturing-readiness reviews, root-cause and corrective-action analysis, software code review, and familiarity with Atlassian tools, Git, and Confluence.
- Lean and Six Sigma quality engineering certification and the ability to work independently with management are preferred.

- Onsite position in Rancho Bernardo or Palmdale, California; remote work is not available.
- Rancho Bernardo follows a 9/80 biweekly schedule and Palmdale follows a 4/10 schedule, with occasional limited off-Friday support.
- Travel is approximately 10% of the time.
