Base Salary

$150k - $200k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and evolution of RKE2 Kubernetes clusters across development, acceptance, and production environments, including upgrades, capacity planning, networking, and resilience.
  • Architect and maintain Terraform infrastructure as code for AWS-based environments, including scalable modules and provisioning patterns.
  • Own the GitHub Actions CI/CD platform, improving pipeline architecture, build performance, and staged release reliability.
  • Drive Flux CD GitOps delivery standards using Helm charts and Kustomize overlays across clusters.
  • Define container image lifecycle policies for building, signing, storing, and distributing images across OCI registries and deployment targets.
  • Automate environment provisioning, configuration management, and deployment processes to reduce operational toil.
  • Establish monitoring, alerting, incident response, dashboards, runbooks, and post-incident reviews.
  • Support product service teams integrating with the deployment pipeline and resolve complex environment issues.
  • Manage secrets, certificates, RBAC policies, and other deployment-platform security configurations.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentor engineers through reviews, pairing, design discussions, and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

  • Deep production Kubernetes experience at scale, including cluster lifecycle management, Helm, networking, persistent storage, performance tuning, and workload troubleshooting.
  • Expert proficiency with Terraform for multi-environment cloud infrastructure, including module design and state management.
  • Strong Linux systems administration skills with RHEL or similar, including networking, storage, systemd, performance analysis, and shell scripting.
  • Extensive experience designing and maintaining reliable CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar tools.
  • Deep familiarity with AWS infrastructure services including EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, EBS, Lambda, and related networking and security services.
  • Experience with Flux CD or ArgoCD, container registries and OCI artifact workflows, Kubernetes database management, Kafka or other message brokers, Ansible or similar automation tools, and Python is beneficial.
  • Experience supporting strict security or compliance environments such as FedRAMP, FIPS, or IL environments is beneficial.
  • Exposure to or interest in cryptocurrency technology is beneficial.
