Responsibilities
- Provide post-sales technical leadership for strategic customers designing and implementing big data projects.
- Guide architectural design, data engineering, model deployment, and technical roadmap alignment with Databricks.
- Identify and drive initiatives that help customers turn data into actionable business value.
- Architect production-level workloads and perform performance testing and optimization of end-to-end pipeline loads.
- Deliver customer tutorials, training sessions, hackathons, and conference presentations.
- Maintain technical growth through mentorship, ongoing learning, and internal training programs.
Requirements
- Hands-on technical expertise with Apache Spark and experience using Databricks across several large-scale projects.
- Databricks Certified Data Engineer Professional certification.
- Proven experience designing and implementing big data technologies, including Hadoop, NoSQL, MPP, OLTP, and OLAP.
- More than five years of experience as a Software Engineer or Data Engineer, including query tuning, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and debugging Spark or other big data solutions.
- Proficiency in Python, Scala, or Java.
- Experience designing and using solutions on cloud infrastructure and services such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Familiarity with development tools for testing, automation, orchestration, REST APIs, BI tools, and SQL interfaces, including Jenkins.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with strategic stakeholders and leadership.
- Experience in customer-facing pre-sales, post-sales, technical architecture guidance, or consulting roles.
- Desired experience in data science or ML engineering, including model selection, model lifecycle, hyper-parameter tuning, model serving, deep learning, and MLflow.
