Base Salary
$188k - $234k/yr
Responsibilities
- Assess customer and business requirements, identify gaps and risks, classify requirements, and recommend corrective actions.
- Create user stories and contribute to solution, component, and detailed designs, including mock screens, pseudocode, and functional logic.
- Develop and configure software components that meet functional, technical, non-functional, scalability, availability, and maintainability requirements.
- Build automation scripts, implement telemetry, apply security policies, and select appropriate coding languages, standards, and tools.
- Design and implement workflow orchestration, data-processing, streaming, storage, and web UI solutions.
- Map requirements to test objectives, create and execute test cases, perform multiple types of testing, analyze defects, and conduct regression testing.
- Troubleshoot performance and availability bottlenecks, conduct maintenance and re-engineering, and analyze logs, metrics, and performance data.
- Evaluate change requests and help ensure project work follows approved milestones and timelines.
Requirements
- Master's degree or equivalent in a listed technical field and one year of software engineering or related experience, or bachelor's degree or equivalent in a listed technical field and three years of software engineering or related experience.
- Experience designing and implementing Apache Airflow DAGs for workflow orchestration and data-pipeline automation.
- Experience developing PySpark applications for large-scale distributed data processing and transformation.
- Experience programming with object-oriented languages including Python and Java.
- Experience performing load and performance testing and application profiling with JMeter.
- Experience implementing distributed streaming data pipelines with Apache Kafka.
- Experience developing web UIs with React.js and TypeScript.
- Experience with GCP services including Cloud Storage, Dataproc, and BigQuery.
- Experience designing relational database schemas and stored procedures in Azure SQL Database.
- Experience designing and managing Elasticsearch and OpenSearch storage solutions for search, log analytics, and data visualization.
- Experience deploying containerized applications with Docker and Kubernetes and using orchestration tools for automated scaling and deployment.
- Experience working with Apache Hive for data warehousing and SQL-like query processing; any amount of experience with the required skills is accepted.
