Base Salary
$120k - $190k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, deploy, and maintain software for enterprise data platforms and products.
- Design and support enterprise data models, curated and ADS datasets, semantic layers, and analytical consumers.
- Drive platform modernization and architectural standards with emphasis on scalability, performance, cost efficiency, resilience, and analytical correctness.
- Build functional and destructive test suites to support rapid and reliable production deployments.
- Support product and engineering teams, identify team gaps, and recommend productivity improvements.
- Mentor junior engineers and lead technical discussions on modern software development frameworks.
- Collaborate with product teams and participate in agile planning and alignment activities.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age and legally permitted to work in the United States.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent degree in a related field.
- At least 3 years of work experience is required; 5+ years in backend data engineering or analytics platform engineering is preferred.
- Strong hands-on experience with cloud data warehouses, especially BigQuery.
- Advanced SQL expertise and strong working knowledge of Python.
- Experience designing enterprise-grade data models, including curated and ADS datasets.
- Experience building and supporting semantic layers; AtScale experience is preferred but not required.
- Experience with universal or shared semantic modeling across multiple domains or products.
- Experience with Jenkins, Airflow, and orchestration frameworks.
- Understanding of performance tuning, cost optimization, high availability, resilience, and scalability in large data environments.
- Ability to collaborate across teams and influence architectural decisions without direct authority.

- Pay range is $120,000.00–$190,000.00.
