Responsibilities
- Define the infrastructure roadmap for cloud architecture, CI/CD pipelines, platform tooling, and Salesforce DevOps.
- Architect, scale, secure, and operate AWS and Kubernetes systems with high availability, fault tolerance, cost efficiency, and strong observability.
- Drive GitOps and infrastructure-as-code practices using Terraform/OpenTofu, Kubernetes, and related platform tooling.
- Lead Salesforce DevOps strategy, including CI/CD, Salesforce CLI, environment management, metadata and package governance, quality gates, and release management.
- Lead AI-driven automation initiatives to improve engineering velocity, quality, and operational excellence.
- Mentor DevOps and platform engineers, conduct design reviews, establish engineering standards, and provide technical leadership.
- Own security, authentication, compliance, audit readiness, and infrastructure governance.
- Define SLOs, improve reliability and observability, lead root-cause analysis, and implement systemic fixes for production incidents.
- Serve as an escalation point during on-call rotations and coordinate resolution of critical incidents.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Security, and business leadership while evaluating emerging technologies and communicating technical trade-offs.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience scaling production SaaS platforms or distributed systems.
- 4+ years of hands-on production experience with Terraform/OpenTofu and Kubernetes.
- Demonstrated technical leadership through mentoring, design reviews, and architectural decision-making.
- Deep cloud computing experience or certification, preferably with AWS; GCP and Azure are also valued.
- Expert-level knowledge of relational databases, including performance optimization, replication, sharding, indexing, and query tuning.
- Advanced Bash, shell scripting, and Linux system administration skills.
- Strong experience with NoSQL technologies such as DynamoDB and MongoDB.
- Experience architecting highly available, scalable web applications and microservices.
- Deep understanding of CI/CD systems, pipeline design, release strategies, and deployment automation for distributed services.
- Strong communication, collaboration, stakeholder management, and leadership presentation skills.
- Strong commitment to code quality, GitOps, and infrastructure-as-code principles.
- Preferred experience with Salesforce CLI, Salesforce APIs, CumulusCI, GitLab, CircleCI, GitHub Actions, PMD/SFDX Scanner, Apex/LWC tests, Salesforce metadata, unlocked packages, DevHub, scratch orgs, sandboxes, and environment orchestration.
- Preferred advanced AWS and Kubernetes experience, including VPC, IAM, EKS, RDS, Lambda, CloudFront, Helm, service mesh, and cluster management.
- Preferred observability experience with OpenTelemetry, Prometheus/Grafana, or Datadog, along with SLO-driven alerting and capacity planning.
- Preferred experience with IAM/SSO architecture, secrets management, least-privilege design, zero-trust principles, and audit-ready change governance.
- Ability to architect, review, and contribute to code and pipelines in Node.js/TypeScript, Java, or Python.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure cost optimization strategies.
