Base Salary
$152k - $179k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build, deploy, and maintain scalable, secure, high-performing backend services in distributed systems environments.
- Design internal and customer-facing APIs with clean interfaces and a strong developer experience.
- Lead features through implementation, deployment, and monitoring.
- Improve technical debt, reliability, observability, and operational excellence.
- Participate in code reviews, on-call rotations, and incident response.
- Communicate technical trade-offs with cross-functional partners and contribute to a constructive team environment.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of professional experience building and maintaining production backend services in microservices or distributed systems environments.
- Experience designing and shipping internal or customer-facing APIs with clean interface design and a focus on developer experience.
- Familiarity with deploying and testing in microservice ecosystems and using observability and monitoring tooling.
- Ability to communicate technical trade-offs clearly in writing and live discussions.
- Ability to use generative AI tools responsibly with human oversight, including tools such as LibreChat, Gemini, and Glean.
