Responsibilities
- Build custom Workshop applications and widgets in Foundry.
- Translate business workflows into interactive user-facing tools using Workshop or React.
- Build and maintain API-driven ingestion pipelines with authentication, pagination, batching, rate limiting, retries, incremental loads, and deduplication.
- Develop scalable data pipelines using Python and SQL in Foundry.
- Design Foundry Ontology and reusable datasets aligned with application logic and workflows.
- Own end-to-end delivery from data ingestion and transformation through compliance applications.
- Troubleshoot ingestion, transformation, and application issues.
- Establish standards for data quality, validation, monitoring, observability, and reusable ingestion and modeling patterns.
Requirements
- A 2–4 year college degree or equivalent experience.
- 4–8+ years of experience in data engineering, backend engineering, or similar roles.
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Experience building production-grade data pipelines and integrating external APIs and third-party data sources.
- Experience building user-facing data tools, applications, or dashboards.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in ambiguous environments.
- Preferred experience with Palantir Foundry, including Code Repos, Transforms, Ontology, and Workshop.
- Preferred experience building Workshop or similar data-driven applications and bridging data engineering with frontend or application layers.
- Familiarity with Snowflake, Databricks, Spark, Airflow, dbt, or similar tools is preferred.
- Experience in financial services, compliance, or regulated environments is preferred.
