Base Salary
$166k - $218k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design migration plans and customer-specific solutions for transitioning legacy data platforms to Snowflake.
- Act as the technical expert for Snowflake implementation and deployment, applying best practices and enabling customers to extend the platform independently.
- Collaborate deeply with customers and system integrators to execute migrations with minimal disruption.
- Evaluate competitive and complementary technologies and explain Snowflake’s positioning relative to them.
- Create presentations, document project learnings, and develop utilities and accelerators for migration activities.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to improve Snowflake products and marketing.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in customer-facing pre-sales or post-sales technical roles, preferably as a solutions architect.
- Experience migrating between data platforms and addressing the challenges of adopting a new platform.
- Hands-on experience with data warehouse systems such as Snowflake, BigQuery, Teradata, Redshift, Netezza, SAP HANA, Greenplum, or Exadata.
- End-to-end experience migrating on-premises data warehouses to AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Strong presentation skills for technical and executive audiences, including whiteboarding, presentations, and demos.
- Understanding of the full data analytics workflow, from ETL and data platform design through BI and analytics tools.
- Extensive hands-on expertise with SQL, SQL analytics, and scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Shell.
- University degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred: 3 years of technical consulting experience.
- Preferred: experience with non-relational platforms and large-scale data processing tools such as Hadoop and HBase.
- Preferred: familiarity with Power BI, MicroStrategy, BusinessObjects, or Tableau.
- Preferred: experience with infrastructure-as-a-service platforms including AWS, Azure, GCP, or OpenStack.
- Preferred: ETL pipeline implementation and software development experience with C, C++, or Java.
