Responsibilities
- Design and review secure architectures for customer-facing products, APIs, integrations, and internal platforms.
- Lead product security reviews, threat modeling sessions, and technical design assessments.
- Identify, validate, prioritize, and drive remediation of application security issues across web, backend, cloud, mobile, and API surfaces.
- Build security guardrails, secure defaults, testing, and automation into the software development lifecycle.
- Define security requirements and controls for AI and agentic features, including prompt handling, data exposure, abuse cases, and third-party AI services.
- Improve security telemetry, detection opportunities, and incident response readiness with detection and infrastructure teams.
- Develop security standards, reference architectures, and technical guidance for engineering teams.
- Support security reviews for external integrations and features handling sensitive customer data.
- Investigate product and application security incidents and turn findings into engineering improvements.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in application security, product security, security engineering, or software engineering with a strong security focus.
- Strong understanding of application security for web applications, APIs, authentication, authorization, and cloud-native systems.
- Experience with threat modeling, secure design reviews, technical risk assessments, manual testing, code review, and security tooling.
- Familiarity with secure SDLC practices and embedding security into engineering workflows.
- Knowledge of injection, access control failures, secrets exposure, insecure deserialization, SSRF, and supply chain risks.
- Practical experience securing AI-enabled products, including LLM risks, prompt injection, data leakage, insecure tool use, model abuse, and third-party AI integrations.
- Ability to write clear technical guidance and influence engineering teams effectively.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with engineering, product, legal, and compliance stakeholders.
- Ability to balance security rigor with product velocity and business priorities.
