Responsibilities
- Lead software design, optimization, implementation, and execution for customer projects and accounts.
- Support presales activities, translate business requirements into solution designs, and contribute to Statement of Work scoping and creation.
- Assist customers with development, integration, implementation, and service assurance for Cisco technologies.
- Build customer simulations, resolve and validate issues, and serve as a focal point for major customer problem resolution.
- Create customer requirements documents, implementation plans, high-level designs, collateral, portals, documentation, and knowledge-transfer materials.
- Support solution implementation and strategy plans while coordinating with Cisco account teams, partners, and other internal and external resources.
- Create and deliver training for new and junior technical resources.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to other engineers and help develop junior team members.
- Curate and share best practices, success stories, and intellectual property.
Requirements
- Bachelor-level degree in computer science or equivalent, or 8+ years of professional experience in software development or technical consulting.
- Proficiency in Python and effective use of AI coding tools.
- Expertise in data structures and algorithms, database management and optimization, REST API design, parsing, regular expressions, Kafka, and Golang.
- Expertise in software design principles, design patterns, version control systems, and Linux troubleshooting.
- Experience across the software development lifecycle, including software automation, workflow orchestration, microservices, containers, Kubernetes, cloud, databases, and open-source technologies.
- Exposure to generative AI, agentic AI frameworks, and LLM-based application development.
- Ability to lead consultative interactions with customers and stakeholders and guide junior team members.
- Preferred knowledge of network fundamentals, service architecture, service fulfillment, and system integration.
- Preferred knowledge of SRE, DevOps, SecOps, NETCONF, RESTCONF, and YANG modeling.
- Preferred experience with serverless workflows, BPMN, Apache Airflow, or similar technologies.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and communicate complex technical concepts effectively to nontechnical stakeholders.
