Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and sustain Python-based applications, software, systems, and third-party integrations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design software solutions.
- Write clean, efficient, reusable code and conduct code reviews.
- Debug and fix existing Python codebases while optimizing performance and scalability.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle and integrate software components into functional systems.
- Document and maintain software functionality and provide actionable data to Security Services teams.
- Contribute to integration feature refreshes and maintain relationships with distributed internal and external teams.
- Continuously adopt best practices for code quality, software development, and programming.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience as a software developer in an Agile environment.
- Professional software development experience, preferably contributing to projects in Python.
- Experience collaborating with multiple software developers while contributing code independently.
- Experience directly impacting the architecture and design of large-scale distributed systems.
- Experience working in Agile development teams; formal Agile training is preferred.
- A clear history of learning and skills development, including helping other software developers develop their skills.
- A strong focus on code quality, reliability, performance optimization, collaboration, and adapting to emerging technologies.
- A master’s degree in Computer Science and evidence of technical influence such as conference talks or papers are nice-to-have qualifications.
