Responsibilities
- Deliver production-grade systems, reference architectures, reusable frameworks, tools, and best practices on the Databricks platform.
- Support enterprise customers through transformational data and AI projects from prototype through production deployment.
- Contribute to secure, scalable, full-stack architecture and design decisions.
- Embed with customer teams to understand technical and business challenges and deliver measurable impact.
- Collaborate with senior Forward Deployed Engineers, Databricks engineering, and customer support to unblock customers and share product feedback.
- Manage technical scope and timelines for workstreams while developing toward end-to-end delivery ownership.
- Coordinate with Databricks technical teams, project managers, architects, and customer teams to deliver engagement requirements.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, or data platforms and analytics.
- Strong full-stack software engineering skills with Python and JavaScript/TypeScript, including backend services, APIs, and modern frontend frameworks.
- Solid computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, testing, and version control.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, or a strong desire to develop cloud expertise quickly.
- Familiarity with CI/CD and interest in production data architectures, MLOps, machine learning and AI models, and AI APIs.
- Excellent communication skills and interest in customer-facing engineering work.
- Curiosity, adaptability, and eagerness to learn technologies used to deploy and integrate Databricks-based solutions.
- Experience with Apache Spark or distributed data processing is a plus.
- Databricks Certification is a plus and may be obtained after joining.
