Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design, build, and scale backend services and APIs for payments, money movement, billing, settlements, reconciliation, and ledger systems.
- Drive high-impact initiatives from requirements gathering and technical design through implementation, rollout, and operational excellence.
- Partner with Product, Finance, Risk, Compliance, Operations, and engineering teams to deliver scalable and compliant payment experiences.
- Integrate systems with external payment processors, banking partners, card networks, and financial service providers.
- Design resilient payment, ledger, settlement, and reconciliation workflows that maintain financial accuracy.
- Operate mission-critical financial services with stringent uptime, security, compliance, and performance requirements.
- Contribute to service-oriented architecture, event-driven systems, APIs, message queues, and scalable financial platforms.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience focused on Java backend development, including Spring Core, Spring Web, Spring Boot, Gradle, JUnit, and JVM tuning and performance.
- Strong computer science fundamentals and experience designing scalable distributed systems.
- Experience integrating with payment processors, settlement systems, card networks, and banking partners.
- Strong understanding of transactional systems, financial data consistency, idempotency, auditability, and fault tolerance in distributed environments.
- Ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders and align on scope and delivery.
- Ability to write high-quality, testable, maintainable, and secure code.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, EKS, Aurora RDS, ElastiCache, DynamoDB, Docker, Kubernetes, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.
- Proficiency with Git, build automation, and CI/CD pipelines, with GitHub Actions preferred.
- Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools such as DataDog.
- Excellent communication skills and comfort working with globally distributed teams.
