Responsibilities
- Build and architect agentic systems that improve company-wide developer productivity.
- Develop AI-powered product features using LLMs, vector stores, agentic workflows, and threat detection and response capabilities.
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs supporting agentic workflows and platform capabilities.
- Own medium-to-large features end to end, including design, implementation, deployment, monitoring, and production iteration.
- Design and optimize evaluations for agentic systems, including tools, prompts, and agent loops.
- Apply security-by-design, responsible AI, observability, progressive delivery, and reliability engineering practices.
- Use AI-assisted development tools and automation throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Mentor and coach engineers, provide technical direction, and improve engineering quality and incident response.
- Collaborate with product, design, and partner teams to deliver scalable production solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 6+ years of technical engineering experience with coding, or equivalent experience.
- At least 6 years of experience building production software with modern programming languages.
- Hands-on experience building and operating LLM-powered agentic systems in production with ownership of quality, reliability, and iteration.
- Expertise in LLM and generative AI application development, including prompt engineering, agent SDKs, and AI orchestration frameworks.
- Experience with agentic patterns such as multi-step reasoning, tool or function calling, retrieval-augmented generation, and human-in-the-loop workflows.
- Experience using AI-assisted software development tools and workflows, including GitHub Copilot, Copilot Workspace, agentic plugins, agents, and skills.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals in system design, performance, debugging, algorithms, testing, data structures, and code review.
- Experience designing, running, and optimizing evaluations for agentic systems.
- Experience delivering large-scale, production-quality systems and leading technical direction or mentoring peers.
- Preferred experience with cloud services or AI systems, RESTful APIs or GraphQL services, AI-powered developer tooling, coding assistants, and SQL or NoSQL databases.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and work effectively in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
